Hey, I’m Andrey Chursov
Here, you will find my thoughts on Medicine 3.0, biology, technology, engineering, AI innovations, the art of biotech entrepreneurship, the journey to reaching and operating at peak performance, and my philosophy on life.
Who am I?
Medicine 3.0
I am the Founder and CEO of Datomics Group, a Silicon Valley-based startup developing an AI-enabled market intelligence platform for life sciences. With over 15 years of experience applying artificial intelligence to biotechnology and life sciences, I have a long track record of developing cancer diagnostic and therapeutic products through various stages of development, ranging from idea generation to serving users and clinical patients.
My mission is to make cancer a nonfatal disease, which I aim to achieve by exploring the uncharted territories of science and technology, leveraging AI to improve our understanding of cancer and human biology, and transforming how we approach medical research, diagnostic and drug development, and patient care. Over the past 15 years, I have participated in delivering various breakthrough solutions advancing personalized medicine to oncology patients, bridging the gap between scientific advancements and clinical success.
Previously, I served as the Executive Vice President of Science and Technology at Zephyr AI, developing AI-enabled composite biomarkers for precision oncology. Before that, I was the Head of Engineering and Data Management at PACT Pharma, where I was responsible for software, bioinformatics, infrastructure, lab automation (LIMS and ELN platforms), and cloud engineering and led the development of a highly scalable bioinformatics software platform. I was instrumental in PACT Pharma selling select assets to AmplifyBio and in the technology transfer process followed by the agreement. Earlier, I was the Chief Development Officer at CureLab Oncology, where I worked on advancing an anti-cancer DNA vaccine from pre-clinical studies to completed Phase I/IIa clinical trials. I also gained experience running bioinformatics research projects at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Guardant Health, where I analyzed high-throughput NGS data and built AI models predicting various cancer biology phenomena. I received my Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from the Technical University of Munich. I also hold an MS in Computer Science and Machine Learning, an MS in Innovation Management, and a BS in Applied Mathematics and Physics. I also passed the CFA Level 1 exam.

Peak Performance Hacking
I am also keen to learn everything I can find about reaching the state of peak performance and maintaining it after that. Over the years, I’ve learned a lot about personal well-being, neuroscience, psychology, and the biology of the human body. As a result, I love to share my knowledge about aging, physical well-being, mental health, and scientifically proven strategies for achieving and maintaining peak performance and maximizing energy levels and productivity.
